My first experience with Gun Prime and will definitely return. The Gen2 Galil Ace in .308 looked to be a great platform. After initial cleaning a trip to the range was in order. I tried two different loads in the platform and could not get more than 5 rounds through without a jam. AK platforms are notoriously over gassed but this was extreme. The rounds that did eject went approximately 30' and the others were smashed between the bolt face and the side of the chamber. When I contacted IWI (historically excellent to deal with) I was told it's supposed to do that. I strongly disagree. They are overgassed to shoot anything in extreme conditions not just sub sonic ammo. IWI service department being of no help I ordered a KNS adjustable gas piston. Now the platform runs as it should and I couldn't be happier. Though you shouldn't have to spend an additional $170 to make a higher end rifle function it is what it is. I can only speak for the .308 but i would say with the adjustable piston i would highly recommend the galil, without it I'm afraid it's a paperweight.
